@rentahippie …. The sub sites I use are subscene.com and opensubtitles.org They are pretty comprehensive but occasionally I come up blank. That’s why I always pray that Max uploads subs with his stuff. But if he doesn’t …. Usually those two sites will do it.
@rentahippie…. Also sometimes the subs are off a little but they are the only ones available. Like the british series Quirke. I was able to get some subs but they need to be tweaked to fit the release that Max and team have posted. You can adjust this in VHS player under tools. sometimes you just have to adjust once. And others you need to adjust as the video goes on. Usually where there would be a commercial break is the adjustment point.

I have a request that is right up your alley.
I downloaded IDM v. 6.40 Build 5 Pre-activated which has been available since January 2022 from another site (as AYL has not had a pre-activated version since 6.32.6) and it works OK. But now I want to update it with the current version 6.42 Build 3. I can get v6.42.2 free at another site unless you upload it here very soon if you can.
But I much prefer a pre-activated version since I had trouble when updating IDM several years ago. I remember you had many queries here as to how to install or update IDM and you patiently answered them in detail. I wish you would post a detailed tutorial for IDM again and leave it up on the IDM page here.
So how can I update IDM without creating a problem? If I download the latest v. 6.42 Build 2 or 3 will it just install over the older version without a problem? I had a serious problem years ago trying to uninstall IDM with Revo Uninstaller and will not risk it again.
Please help with this. Otherwise I will keep using the old version which I prefer not to do. Thanks in advance.

@Termite …. Don’t think so. No one reads these. No requests from here are being filled and if they are they are just popular and coincidence. No one is reading requests or info. Family guy has had a bad episode since the second episode. It’s still not fixed. Max has split again. Hopefully comes back in a while to lure us back. Gotta admit It worked on me. But I worried about this and only did a couple months to see. And sure enough. The site is now basically run by a bot. sad but true my friend.

I feel your pain. Clearly, to you maxdugan is a friend who has served you very capably over many years and who now pops in and out unexpectedly. Although it now has become his norm. His appearance/disappearance has become reliably unreliable here.
I know you travel to escape the frozen north country. The PI, where I think maxdugan lives, is quite warm and hospitable, so they say. Maybe a trip there to nurse maxdugan back to health would be salubrious for both of you. It certainly would be a boon to AYL.

@Bradley: Maybe you are using a VPN. Rarefile reacts strangely with VPNs. Some VPN-servers work, others just deliver a “file not found” page no matter what you are trying to do. And rarefile is working right now…
@Terry: didn’t know that .pro even existed because on top of this page only .com, .org and .info are mentioned. And also outside ‘down under’ .pro is not a valid domain for allyoulike right now.
If your ISP is blocking addresses then just reconfigure your router or at least your computer with a public DNS-server like 8.8.8.8 instead of using the one that your ISP is automatically providing.

On another note, I’m have a strange issue with Allyoulike on my samsung s23u phone, as I have had to delete the .Pro link from here as well. When you type in the .info or org addresses, instead of giving you the option of creating a shortcut to these sites on your home desktop, it asks you to install the Allyoulike App. However, when you go to the Google App store to check, the App doesn’t exist. I managed in the end to somewhat create a shortcut to these addresses. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience, as it sounds a bit dodgy here

Well It appears I have fallen into disfavor as not ONE of my requests are being filled. And most of them are series that should be easily accessible. BBC shows and such. Yeah I know…. Hey Termite….. Looks like Max has gone walkabout again. I don’t have any reason for this. But my gut tells me he has health issues. Or something of that nature. I mean the amount of people I PERSONALLY know who have health problems since they took that shot is staggering. Perhaps this is the issue with Max. We will probably never know. I was talking to a guy in the Philippines. He claimed to know the guy that runs the site. The guy we know as Max. He claimed that he was really sick and he died. I have no idea if it’s true or if he was just having me on. But since there is literally no sign of him and it’s back to a bot running the site? I am definitely wondering. I sure hope not as whoever he is (or was) in reality. He seemed to be a genuinely really nice guy!
@Bradley: It’s truly sad news to hear if Max has passed away. I know that maxdugan was based in the Philippines being a downloader here now for over 10 years. He was ALWAYS there for us. Whatever we requested he most certainly had it up within days. He was a tremendously thoughtful person! Max will be sorely missed!

Buy it from Microsoft or use alternative free versions like LibreOffice or Softmaker Office. Otherwise when you google for cracked or preactivated Office 2024 there are so many results coming up from where to get it. However I would never dare to install any of them because you never know what kind of malicious software you are also installing onto your computer.
You could also get the installer from Microsoft and then there are many companies which just sell activation keys for small money. However looking at the price I don’t know whether they are really authorized by MS to do that.

Dousi2 and Bradley, you both are exactly right. But, for me a poor guy cannot afford to buy the official version which is quite expensive. Previously, I used microsoft office and window 11 downloaded from here, are free and work as great as official software. No problem at all and free. Anyway, thanks.

Can you, or any others, list a few sites especially for more current movies? I google for them but get too many sites and most are very questionable.
They haven’t posted UFC 310 from Saturday, and are always behind with movies and TV shows like weeks. Before, they put all TV shows with 1080p now mostly only 720p and currently the movies Red One is out, Venom the Last Dance etc. Things are going downhill again sadly I hope things change quickly.

I don’t see any major difference in the codecs used for those two files and I think it’s pointless to speculate why your old tv is rejecting one of them. Either watch it on your computer with VLC or similar programs or buy an amazon fire stick for $20 and you should be able to watch many more formats on your tv.

Regarless of this, For some reason now, whenever I try to download anything from YT, it only allows a 360p copy. cant download full quality from YT. Not sure if this is a YT constriction, Win-11 issue, or IDM issue, even tried previous versions of IDM. I have tried several ways to get around this with no luck.

I recently renewed my subscription to RareFile and perhaps yopu can explain my problem. Before renewing I could just click on a file under a lictiung and it would start the download at once. Since renewal when I clcik on a movie fiule for downloading it opens a window and creates a download link whcih I have to click on to start the download. Then I have to go back and click on another file to again start a download link. Have you changed something on your end or is it from the renewal I did?

just to let you know that there are issues with the hosted images starting today. They seem to be restricted to certain regions and an error to that effect is displayed in a purple graphic. It makes all the posts look identical.

I contacted you just over a week ago to let you know that there are issues viewing some of the hosted images on content posts. An error message saying “Content Not Viewable In Your Region” is displayed in a purple box where the image would normally be.
It’s not all images, so it’s down to how/where (at least) one of the content posters hosts their images. The images are definitely restricted on UK browsers and may be in other regions too. It makes much of the site content look identical and pretty horrible to view/use.
Please, please, please fix this problem ASAP.

@ ThePedroDB: I can see both images with Firefox. The first image is hosted by Imgur and the second by Photobucket. Being a former web designer, I would say you would be having issues with your browser. Check another one and see if it too doesn’t show the image you are having trouble with at Imgur.

With the latest updates, Web Browsers now perceive sites that do not use HTTPs/SSL and downloads from these sites as insecure and suspicious. And with the standard settings, it does not allow the download process, it blocks it. You need to change this setting manually.

just tried JAG the series
it looks like its all RAR files, JAG has 2 that stopped at 99.99%

I started having the exact same problem, only with RAR files, about a week ago, right after my Bitdefender updated and restarted. Now I have to turn off “On Line Protection” while I download RAR files. No problem with any other files. I’ve been a Member for many years, download almost every day, and never had virus protection interference with RAR files before.

I only see (Online Threat Prevention) however I’m not sure this should be turned off as it detects (accessed by: idman.exe – Dangerous attempt to install software that can harm the device, (this is under Critical Notifications)

This normally results if the peer application on the remote host is suddenly stopped, the host is rebooted, or the remote host used a ‘hard close'” Please explain what this means and how I can resolve this issue.

When I’m ready to download a RAR file, on Bitdefender, I click on “Protection”, then “Online Threat Prevention-Settings”, then turn “Web Protection” to Off. Then I download any RAR files I need, and then turn “Web Protection” back On. I do not do anything else while it is turned Off. I have never found any true threats on All You Like. If you find a better way, please let me know.

@Zzone21 A 4K version of Band Of Brothers doesn’t exist. The 1080p version Max linked you is the highest resolution that exists, until HBO remasters it into 4K or higher, which will probably never happen.
Wow Max must have really left the building. I mean one of the best UFC cards in ages and nothing?? They are usually up the next morning. This isn’t a good sign. sigh.

I tried it but only turn off threat prevention when the download reached 99.99% and it completed the download however this is not the answer because you have to be there all the time to turn it on and off, what happens if you download more then 1 file, if I find another way I will let you know
