An adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale of Mowgli the jungle boy who is raised by wolves after being lost when a tiger attacked an encampment and killed his father. Years later he finds himself re-united with his childhood love Kitty and back in the “civilization” of Colonial India which he finds far less civilized then his jungle haunts. The search for a lost treasure shows who the truly civilized members of society are.

The half-hour program features stories inspired by such noir classics as Double Indemnity and Pulp Fiction and classic thriller TV series like The Twilight Zone (1959) . In each of stand-alone episode, women find extraordinary ways of coping with their problems, channeling their survival instincts and bringing out their inner guile. Every episode is introduced by a mysterious and enigmatic host, Lilith, played by Tanit Phoenix, and features different casts and storylines, some of which are intertwined as part of the series overall mythology.

When we decided to host an intimate, intensive weekend conference in Vancouver this summer, I was blown away by what an incredible experience it was.
